Ben Affleck’s Argo is in serious Oscar talks even though it’s only October, but word from all the early screenings is that it’s a terrific action movie full of great suspense and excellent acting. In this new featurette, Affleck, John Goodman, Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston, and even former President Jimmy Carter offer insight as to how this wild escape mission got the greenlight and how Hollywood filmmaking actually saved the lives of a few American citizens caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Warner Bros.
.
This is one movie that history buffs don’t want to miss. It’s based on true events that occurred during the Iranian revolution of 1979. In this story, now declassified, we find out that there are six Americans trapped inside a country experiencing violent protests. Of course, there is a CIA plan to get them out … and it sounds like a long shot. -

Total Recall isn’t just one of the most anticipated action flicks of the summer; it also boasts a really, really ridiculously good looking cast: Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, and of course, Bryan Cranston. But they aren’t just pretty faces. We met with the foursome to play a game of Sci-Fi Celebrity in which we learned that they know their stuff when it comes to science fiction TV and film. We also learned that the first real meeting between Kate Beckinsale and Colin Farrell entailed Kate’s crotch flying towards Colin’s face. -
A New Clip From 'Total Recall' Again Pays Homage to the Original
by Lee Mills Jul 26, 2012 at 2:08 PM
Sony
.
Despite the fact that Len Wiseman and co. are taking a much darker, gritter approach to Total Recall, they’re still finding ways to incorporate a few classic elements from the original. We already knew they were bringing back what could be the most iconic moment of the original — the three breasted woman, and a new clip again pays homage to one of 1990 film’s most memorable scenes. You can definitely tell that they’re trading in some of the camp (OK, a LOT of the camp) while upping the action, as Quaid (Colin Farrell) gets caught going through a security checkpoint. While it’s hard to top the dramatic effect of an old lady’s face doing … whatever it is her face does in that scene, the Total Recall remake looks as though it’s shaping up to be one of the better blockbusters of the summer. And besides, you’re never going to beat Arnold when it comes to combining action with cheesy one-liners and ridiculous humor, so why not just go in the opposite direction?
