Yeasayer are known for their inventive ideas, and correspondingly the band has created an Internet scavenger hunt to promote their new disc Fragrant World, which comes out on August 21st.

How does it work? Well, we’re glad you asked that. This week the band starts releasing individual video clips for each song on the album, which were created by Yoshi Sodeoka via various web sites. The catch is that these clips will only be up until Friday evening at 8 P.M. EST. Are you following so far?

Clues on how to find all of the “hidden” videos will be released through the band’s Twitter site as well as the handle of their label Secretly Canadian. We’ve watched a handful of the videos so far, and all we can say for sure is that we’re excited to hear the album. Check out one of the clues below.
