After making enough money at the box office to solve our national debt problems, (OK, not really but it seemed that way) The Avengers comes to DVD on September 25th. Marvel has released the first of two clips that ran during the credits. WARNING: This contains spoilers, so if you haven’t seen The Avengers, watch at your own risk!

If you’re unfamiliar with the villain depicted in the scene, it’s Thanos, a cosmic deity born on Saturn’s moon Titan. In the ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ storyline, Thanos becomes omnipotent and eventually wipes out all superheroes from existence … if that’s the case, The Avengers sure have their work cut out for them in the sequel!
