If you’re looking for your summer movies to have a good mix of action and comedy, Hit and Run could be a nice surprise. Early word from Myspace HQ is that the flick is pretty solid, and it has all of the right elements involved to be a potential car chase classic. Dax Shepard and real-life fiancee Kristen Bell play a couple who go on the run when Dax’s past comes back to haunt him in the form of a gangster played by Bradley Cooper. We’ve got four new clips from the movie, which show everything from the adorable couple fake fighting to a quick plot recap to Tom Arnold ghostriding his van (yep) to Bradley Cooper revealing some uncomfortable information about what happened to him in jail. Watch them below and let us know what you think in the comments!

I will admit: the scene in which Cooper and Shepard are discussing the difference between prison and jail made me chuckle, so that combined with the positive early word of mouth is probably enough to get me to check this one out when it opens. Hit and Run arrives in theaters on August 22nd, 2012. .
Synopsis: From the producer of “Wedding Crashers” –- written and directed by and starring comic talent Dax Shepard (NBC’s “Parenthood’) — “Hit and Run” is the story of Charlie Bronson (Shepard), a nice guy with a questionable past who risks everything when he busts out of the witness protection program to deliver his fiancé (Kristen Bell) to Los Angeles to seize a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Their road trip grows awkwardly complicated, when they are chased by the feds (led by Tom Arnold) … and increasingly dangerous, when Charlie’s former pals, a band of gangsters (led by Bradley Cooper), enter the fray.
