The final press conference, at least the final one for Comic-Con, was held by the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. The cast was split up into two groups for the media … the Cullen Clan (minus Edward and Bella), including Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Elisabeth Reasor, Jackson Rathbone, and Nikki Reed. The second group were the headliners; Stephenie Meyer, Mackenzie Foy, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Between both groups it was evident that this final press conference of the final movie that they’ve spent so much time working together on, is a bittersweet ending to a chapter in each of their lives. We’ve captured the highlights from each group below, with some interesting facts that we think will surprise even the most die-hard Twilight fan.

    The Cullens
    .
As a group, the actors that played most of the Cullen Clan reflected on what it means now that the series is over, and what it’s been like working together through the years. They pretty much all agreed that the time spent off the set bonding as a family was one of the most important parts of the whole series, as it brought them together in a way that made their closeness on screen more believable.
    .
They cited their experience with fans at Comic-Con as one of the most surreal experiences of all. Over the past four years, they’ve even come to recognize and know some of the fans by name! That must be pretty surreal for the fans as well.
    .
The whole group gave Bill Condon a lot of credit for molding the franchise into what it has become, even though he’s only been involved in the final two films. In a final twist, the group was asked if they are fanboys of any other movie or phenomenon. It was interesting to find out the faves of some of these actors. For example, Peter Facinelli was a big fan of Superman 4, and actually waited in line when it came out! The most passionate one of the group, by far, was Jackson Rathbone, who says he would camp out for days if the Rolling Stones went back on tour. A final takeaway from this round of questions was that Peter Facinelli is a really funny guy. He was always cracking jokes and answering questions in a lighthearted manner.

    The Main Characters
    .
After the room was cleared from the first group of celebs, Stephanie Meyer, Mackenzie Foy, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart came to field questions. Again, the group displayed a close-knit familiarity with each other and a kind of sadness that it’s really all over. While this is the final film, Kristen Stewart didn’t rule out working with Stephanie Meyer again. She said she would snap up anything Meyer writes and read it immediately. As far as continuing the series, Meyer admitted that when she started writing the series and was in love with the vampire genre, that Renesmee was going to play a role in further developing the series. Could that still happen? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
    .
At one point the group was asked if they had figured out what makes the Twilight phenomenon work. While Stephanie Meyer said she had no idea and Kristen Stewart said if they knew they could repeat it over and over again, it was Taylor Lautner who gave credit where credit was due. He complimented Meyer and said it was her books and the creation and development of the characters they portrayed on film that really did it.
    .
Finally, the cast was asked what their favorite moment was, now that the series is over. Mackenzie Foy said the entire thing was great for her and that everyone was just perfect. She wouldn’t reveal how much her swear jar ended up totaling, but gave Meyer’s a high-five because she never had to contribute to the jar. Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart both said that the last few weeks of filming, realizing that it was coming to an end, was what they would remember. Stewart specifically mentioned the wedding scene as being especially emotional to her. As for Robert Pattinson, he remained aloof at first, and then mentioned a few pranks. But then he admitted that the scene with him and Stewart swimming in Brazil while surrounded by hundreds of Brazilian soldiers was something he would never forget.
    .
All in all, the cast seems very excited to see final film in its final form. But while they’re excited for it’s release, it’s obvious they will miss the bonds that they have formed working so close with each other for so long.
