The fallout continues following last Thursday night’s (June 14) scufflefest between Chris Brown, Drake, and their respective entourages … which left eight people injured and a massive amount of property damage at New York City’s W.i.P. nightclub.
Among the injured: San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, who says he suffered a scratched retina during the fight and came forward over the weekend.
.
‘‘I was with my friend Chris Brown and me and my friends took some punches, so I’ll be missing the start of the French team because I can’t do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops,” Parker said, detailing the events of the evening.
.
“They started throwing bottles everywhere. I don’t know what happened. At first it was OK, but then it started getting worse and when the plane landed it was really hurting so I went straight to the ER.’’
.
Drake also broke his silence about the incident as he took the stage in Long Island, N.Y., on Saturday night.
.
“When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things. But the only thing I gave a f–k about was that I was in New York City tonight,” he told the crowd.
.
“A n—er in the corner is standing there looking at you funny,” he added. “You bump elbows with him on the way to the bathroom, but really there’s only one n—er that you got to think about.”
.
Meantime … the W.i.P. club was shut down on Saturday by law-enforcement officials, who cited a litany of previous violations that culminated in Thursday’s notorious brawl.
.
“The owners would agree to the closing by NYPD for up to 235 days if additional assaults and other violations of the agreement occurred,” an NYPD spokesman told E! News.
.
Neither Drake nor Chris Brown have been charged in the incident and neither man has turned himself in.
.
“Why would he turn himself in when he did not commit any wrong-doing?” said Drake’s rep, Kelly Bush, in an email to the New York Post.
.
“The detectives are looking at it and investigating it, and if an arrest is appropriate, an arrest is going to be made,” New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly added. “When detectives got there, no one was there. Eight people were injured. The place was in disarray. They’re gathering information.”
.
Rihanna, meanwhile, who may have been the reason behind Drake and Chris’s fight, hasn’t publicly commented on the melee possibly waged in her name.
.
We’ll have more deets as they become available.
.
UPDATE 6/18/12: Another injured person has come forward. Lucy Pavlovsky, a 24-year-old financial forecaster for Macy’s who was reportedly partying at the bar with Fabolous, reportedly sustained two cuts on her arm that required stitches.
.
And now, she is ready to sue the now-closed W.i.P. nightclub, according to E! News.
.
Her lawyer, Javier Solano, also says that his client will consider legal action against Chris Brown, Drake and their respective entourages if it is determined that they were directly involved in the bottle-smashing altercation.
.
Lucy was partying at the club early Thursday morning and was sitting at a table with Fabolous. Ne-Yo was supposedly at the table to her right, while Chris Brown and his crew were to her left.
.
“Directly across, Drake had one table,” Solano said. “I think Mary J. Blige had another table, and the rapper Meek Mill…he had a table as well, or he was with Drake’s party, and the bottles were completely flying from the VIP section of the room.”
.
“If it turns out that we have information that they were the ones at any point that threw a bottle, then they certainly will be made a defendant,” Solano added.
.
“Secondly, if they were not the ones that threw the bottle, but the people that they employed threw the bottle,” he continued, “then the employer should be held responsible.”
.
Meantime … Meek Mill has broken his silence in regards to the incident.
.
Meek says female patrons at the club were throwing bottles … not him, Chris, or Drake.
.
“Chris and Drake, them two was there, but it’s other people that be around that take sh*t to the next level,” he told XXL.
.
“Things just happen in the club,” he continued. “I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of sh*t. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.”
.
When asked if he threw a bottle, Meek replied, “F*ck no.”
.
Meek claims he spoke with Chris Brown on the phone directly after the fight … and both sides agreed they had no problem with the other.
.
“Chris Brown be in clubs,” Meek added. “He be around situations like this. Things get out of hand … that don’t mean it’s out of hand with me and him or whoever, not even him and Drake.”
.
There’s bound to be even more on this story soon … and we’re on it!
