Sometimes it’s easy to forget that huge rockstars like Amy Winehouse are also human beings and in addition to the normal mourning process, celebrities’ families also have to deal with all of the fans who have their own connection with their favorite stars. Luckily even though the singer is gone, her father is keeping Winehouse’s compassionate spirit and connection with her listeners alive.

After talking to supporters who had been keeping vigil at Winehouse’s apartment in Camden, England, since Saturday when it was announced the “Rehab” singer had passed away, yesterday her father Mitch took that one step farther by giving some of Winehouse’s possessions to fans.
.

The Sun is reporting that Winehouse’s father handed out tank tops, sunglasses and various other items. “There are Amy’s T-shirts. This is what she would have wanted — for her fans to have her clothes,” he reportedly told them. “God bless Amy Winehouse,” he added and jumped into a cab.

Don’t worry, the family also kept many of Winehouse’s possessions including her guitars, lyric books and ballet shoes. Nearby some of Winehouse’s peers also met at Winehouse’s favorite jazz club last night where the guests on hand included Kelly Osbourne and Mark Ronson, the latter of whom performed a selection of Winehouse’s songs during a concert on Wednesday.
