We're naming the "Best Albums of 2010 (so far)" all month long. Get psyched!

Let’s face it, by the time December rolls around there are so many “Best Of…” year-end lists being printed, that you’d probably rather spend your time making New Year’s resolutions that you know you won’t keep, rather then read half of the end-of-the-year lists that make their way into print.
With this clearly detached attitude in mind, we decided to be different and highlight the best albums of the year, so far. Note the word “so far,” because we’re not saying several albums won’t come along within the next six months and blow our minds. And believe us, when you get several overworked music editors who behave like children together to debate what albums they’ve been digging so far this year, the results are, well, interesting. But that’s the beauty of music. What’s one man’s Beethoven’s symphony is another man’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino debut LP.

A brief history of awkward moments on "Larry King Live." We'll miss these
by Jonah Bayer Jun 30, 2010 at 5:11 PM
As you may have heard, yesterday Larry King announced that he was going to “hang up his nightly suspenders” and end Larry King Live after 25 years on the air. Why should you care? Good question.
Turns out, over the past two decades King has interviewed countless musicians—and a lot of those interviews have been awesomely awkward. In honor of King’s retirement, we decided to relive some of the most awkward musical interviews he has ever conducted. Say what you will about King, but we have no idea who has the personality to carry on this aspect of his legacy.

Video: The-Dream stays fly on "Kimmel"
by Dan Hyman Jun 30, 2010 at 4:40 PM
In many ways, producers don’t get enough props. Sure, there are the names you know like Timbaland and Pharrell. But a lot of the time there’s a dude in a hooded sweatshirt running the boards (or hell, even writing the songs) that doesn’t get much public exposure.
Point being, it’s nice to see producers stepping out from behind the mixers and into the spotlight. Terius Nash, more commonly known by his stage name, The-Dream, along with Tricky, produced Rihanna’s breakout smash “Umbrella,” which spawned The-Dream’s now blossoming solo career. After releasing two very successful solo albums, however, according to the man himself, The Dream’s newest release, Love King, could be his last. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Drake to collaborate with Chris Brown?
by Jonah Bayer Jun 30, 2010 at 3:15 PM
It’s got to be a pretty good feeling to be Drake right now. His debut disc debuted at number one on the Billboard Charts, his concerts are so heavily attended that he’s causing near-riots and his hair is always freshly cut.
Drizzy also recently revealed that he collaborated with Chris Brown in a recent studio session and we’re guessing that Brown is hoping a little of Drake’s good luck rubs off on him. “I’ve been working all night,” the Young Money rapper told Extra. “I was actually in the studio with Chris Brown for a little bit. Then I was studio hopping, seeing where I can lend my hand since I’ve done mine.”

Will.I.Am gets robbed, uses IPad to track down the goods
by Vimal Savalia Jun 30, 2010 at 2:31 PM
While Will.I.Am is most often known for discovering new sounds and musical directions, he made two discoveries Monday night of a very different variety. While in the Hollywood Hills, Will.I.Am discovered that his Bentley had been broken into.
According to TMZ, the burglar stole jewelry and several other items totaling over $10,000. One such item was the Black Eyed Peas main man’s IPad. While we can only presume that Will was livid, his natural tech savvy kicked in and allowed him to make a very important discovery: The stolen IPad had a built-in tracking device.
