    Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM), with internationally renowned guitarist/composer Prasanna as its President, will be the first ever professional college of music in India to offer a range of programs in contemporary music that includes Rock, Jazz, Classical and World music. With Voice, Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums and Indian Percussion performance as its focus, SAM will commence its first 6 month diploma certificate program in July 2010. SAM will be a fully residential facility set in a sprawling 4 acre campus in lush green surroundings at Marg Swarnabhoomi, about 80 km from Chennai. SAM will have a world class international faculty and top of the line facilities comparable to the best in the world. SAM's innovative curriculum will give musicians a distinctive edge and a multi-cultural musical vocabulary preparing them for exciting careers in a broad spectrum of 21st century music.
