Misanthrop is Michael Bräuninger, based in Stuttgart, southwest of Germany.
He was caught up by the dark sounds and menacing beats of ‘drum and bass’ in the early nineties, as it developed more into an intense musical hybrid.
This is when he decided to produce his own tracks under the name ‘Misanthrop’.After meeting Phace, Florian and Michael decided to join forces, so they established the mighty "Neosignal" label !
With tunes like Evacuate, Viperfish, Black Rain, Desert Orgy, just to name a few classic tunes, Misanthrop gets heavy rotation by Andy C, Dj Bailey, Calyx, Mayhem, Noisia, Pendulum, Phace, Teebee ….s.o.
