WE CAN is the title of Julia St Louis's new album.
Julia St. Louis was born in Preston, England where she began singing as a child in the church choir. She's been living in Italy for some years.
Having appeared in various musical productions, she's collaborated with numerous artists such as Laura Pausini, Elisa, Antonello Venditti, Andrea Mingardi with the Blues Brother's Band, Double You, Paolo Meneguzzi, Luca de Risio, The Harlem Gospel Choir and many others.
WE CAN is Julia St Louis's first album, which includes eleven original songs written with guitar player Emilio Foglio who is also the arranger and artistic producer (Ronnie Jones, Seven40, Steve Lukather, Billy Cobham, Bill Evans, Fabrizio Bosso and many others).
All songs clearly reflect an atmosphere of verve and enthusiasm. From the musical compositions right up to the final realization in studio with a group of Italian musicians. The result is a lively and refreshing album that moves from funky soul with a tinge of R&B, to tunes which appeal to those who enjoy pop music.
Julia's voice, like Julia is smooth, versatile and velvety. All of the songs are intentionally structured to emphasise these vocal qualities.
The lyrics talk about love (I Appreciate You), hope (If I Could), dreams (Dreams Alive) and the sensations of a person facing life's contradictions (Plastic People) with determination. Knowing that everything comes from the inside (We Can), and that we should live every moment to the full, because every moment is precious (Life's 2 Short).

WE CAN è il titolo del nuovo disco di Julia St.Louis. Julia St.Louis nasce a Preston in Inghilterra dove inizia a cantare nel coro della chiesa. Da diversi anni vive e canta in Italia. Numerose sono le produzioni musicali in cui appare e numerose sono le sue collaborazioni al fianco di artisti come Laura Pausini, Elisa, Antonello Venditti, Double You, Blues Brothers Band con Andrea Mingardi, P. Menuguzzi , Luca de Risio, The Harlem Gospel Choir e molti altri. WE CAN è il primo album di Julia St.Louis e comprende undici canzoni originali scritte insieme al chitarrista Emilio Foglio (Ronnie Jones, Seven40, Steve Lukather, Billy Cobham, Bill Evans, Fabrizio Bosso e molti altri) che appare anche in qualità di arrangiatore e produttore artistico. Tutte le canzoni rispecchiano l’atmosfera e la grande vitalità con cui è stato realizzato tutto il progetto, dalla scrittura delle canzoni agli arrangiamenti, dalla scelta dei musicisti tutti italiani sino alla finalizzazione in studio. Il risultato è un disco fresco, attuale, apparentemente spensierato, dalle sonorità funky con richiami R&B e soul, ma rivolto anche a chi ascolta il pop. La voce di Julia è come lei, morbida è vellutata. Tutte le canzoni sono “canzoni”, con arrangiamenti volutamente minimalisti che esaltano queste qualità. I testi raccontano l’amore (I Appreciate You), le speranze (If I Could), i sogni (Dreams Alive) e le sensazioni di una persona che guarda la vita e le sue contraddizioni (Plastic People) con determinazione e con la consapevolezza che tutto inizia dentro noi stessi (We Can) e che bisogna vivere ogni attimo perché ogni attimo è prezioso (Life 2 Short).
