Kentucky native Jon Russell’s big country grin welcomes you into the room. The next thing you know, he’s pumping your hand with the rough, eager, solid handshake of a young man who is no stranger to physical labor. However, it’s upon hearing that voice that you’ll fully appreciate Jon Russell’s true and honest genuine nature. Country as the Cumberland River, Jon Russell has performed in roadhouses, community centers, fairs and festivals throughout Kentucky and Tennessee for the last several years. He’s as seasoned as he is fresh, having supported talents like Earl Thomas Conley, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffee, Kentucky Headhunters, Hank Williams Jr. and the Oak Ridge Boys at the Kentucky State Fair. Grammy winning Nashville producer Jimmie Lee Sloas (Christian Kane, Katrina Elam) has nurtured and harnessed Jon’s voice and you can hear some of those songs here. Jon welcomes all people with his good nature and love of music and is always making new friends everywhere he goes. With three cds already under his belt Jon is working on his fourth in Nashville and also working on demos for other artists. As busy as Jon Russell is he always has time to give a smile, hug or just good ole conversation to all of his fans.
