About me:
.. Myspace Currently Under ConstructionMichael Ridgway, stage name "GFG" has been making and producing music since he was very young. Recently he has moved away from the indie music he used to make, and has hopped onto the electronic music movement. GFG composes music using uncleared samples, and in the demo "Epic Win" he used 105 samples within a 30 min period. Mashing up some favorite music of his, and a lot of top 40 from today and years ago, which explains why he was Myspace.com unsigned act of March 2010. The music that is created is something everyone can relate to, because no matter what age you are, you might here a favorite song of yours sounding completely different. GFG has made it a point to not be recognized as a DJ, even though it is DJ culture. The shows that GFG does are notorious for being extremely wild and crowd interactive. Michael believes that it is time to make a change to the DJ culture, and is known for dancing with fans on stage, and jumping into the crowd.
GFG is from Houston, TX and has sold out shows between Houston and Austin. They did a large street performance during SXSW and really caught the eyes of fans by the large amounts of energy presented. Michael's goal is to bring DJ culture and mash ups to be recognized more as an art, and because of the uncleared samples the hit, "Art Is Not A Crime" stands true. GFG's goal in a gig to be able to fully connect with the crowd, because Michael sees the crowd like he sees any artist at a concert, he wants to have an "experience" just as much as they do.
