Liebe Freunde,

Bio
Janet "Geena" Moore, was born in Nakuru / Kenya. Her musical interest started at an early age. She begun in a church sermon-ed by her late parents Hezron Odhiambo and Margaret Abiero who were both devoted Christians. After finishing school, she joined a couple of music bands but could not live with it, due to lack of time, finances and stage experience. The dream of doing music seemed out of reach, but her faith was strong. She knew somehow, somewhere, someday, she will go back to music. After settling in Cologne / Germany years ago, she went to a cosmetic school, got her diploma, and later joined the cosmetic industry where she worked as a beauty consultant. But after a few years she decided to quit and join an African band called the " African Stars " consisted of different popular musicians from Africa. She managed to tour with the band all over Europe, at the same time gathering a lot of experience. Since then she has been working with several artists and in various music projects. She later met Alexi Azulino a France based musician, who is not only a great friend but also one of the most popular solo guitarist & producer from Africa. They worked intensively, and after a while she released in 1998 her first African CD album called " Passion under the artist name ' Geena Moore' " One of her songs " Kenya " was and still is a top hit in Kenya. "The laid back down to earth woman" then decided to make a break & work as a part-time journalist & an event-organizer, and also promoting African bands. These are just some of the music projects she worked on: • Vocals and composition of African lyrics – song " African Child ", on an album of a German producer and composer Frank Kieslich. Additionally working with him on the video. •Vocals on Saesa Yellos CD ( a popular drummer from Sierra Leone ) •Vocalist in the band of the late Emmanuel Bess from Bess Records. • Choir member, in a Gospel group called the " Joyful Noise "led by Boysie White. (ex Harlem Gospel Singer) •Once backed Christian Wünderlich in a Bravo TV show. •Vocalist in the Newsic band of Mustafa Tettey Addy, who is also the owner of one of the famous drumming academy in Ghana, •Composed and worked with Alexi Azulino on her first album " Passion " , which was released in 1998 by One World Records. • Worked with Michael Hawinga, a friend and a great composer who had a platinum smash by writing songs for one of Sandra's most successful album. ( 7 million copies sold ) • Performing & co-organizing, Kenya's Independence day ( Millennium ) hosted by The former Ambassador of the Rep. of Kenya H.E Mr. Lanyasunya in Tanzbrünnen. • Performing in All African Ambassadors Gala hosted by the Ambassador of the Rep. of Kenya H.E Mr. Kathurima, in Maritim Berlin. •Promoting & co-organizing Top African Events & Concerts in Bercy/France, Palladium, Tanzbrünnen, and in many other locations. Miss Moore! has reversed back into music again! and is now working with Alexi Azulino & Petru Gavrila on her new songs. She additionally works with Stefan Knappe (sax), Daniel Kroesmann (Drums), Petru Gavrila (guitar), Ramona Gavrila (backings) Seydina N'doye ( talking drums ), Jamal (percussions) and other artists, on her funky/Soul/Gospel projects. She says: " I know that somewhere in the music i have discovered- the calm, the cure, and the heights. Now i want to grasp it, navigate beyond obstacles and steer towards the light. For even in utter darkness you know that people feel the music and somewhere in the music is harmony, body and soul." -
