About me:

I am in secondary teaching program at Cal State. Background: Wrote a novel and a play. Play "Father, Save Your Skin" was produced three times. It went from 99 seat equity waiver house in L.A. to American Indian Film Festival, live performance, to Cable tv - back then it was Continental Cablevision who produced it for "Playhouse 1990's. OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Created and started "End Racial Hostility in America" an anti racist organization to combat KKK protest of MLK Day in Wisconsin and Colorado. Founded in 1992. Met weekly. Got some local press. Director/Producer/Founder: Agape Productions, a teenage performance theatre troupe following death of my daughter. Produced "Cain" and "It Should Happen to a Dog." 1993-1994 Five scholarships to college (Drake, North Dakota, Mankato, U of MN, St. Thomas) for long distance running. did not utilize any scholarships because I went to UW LaCrosse, a division Three athletic school, so I could do a college exchange with an all black university called North Carolina Central Univ. in Durham, NC. Was there from Jan. - May 1980 Enriching experience and great professors. Led Cross country team to state championship 1977 Was 5th in State two mile in 1978, 9th in state mile in 1977, Ranked in top 15 runners in state senior year. Won indoor mile 1978 at Univ. of Minnesota at University of Minnesota Indoor Track my senior yr in h.s. Best race: 5k 17:50, two mile 11:02, 3000m - 10:20, four miles, 23:55, five miles 29:30, 10k - 37:50 Proudest accomplishments: My daughter, Alexis Hoffman, who was born in 1991 but unfortunately died in 1992 at 21 months on Christmas Day of a heart transplant due to an enlarged heart. My son,Loran Hoffman, who was born in 1998 to a father whose father was a Liberian diplomat to Russia. At age 10 1/2 he is 5 ft 3 inches and will be the next Shaq. Married 10 years to an educator, religious program specialist in the Navy, Craig Hoffman. 1984-1994 Non-accomplishments: pick the wrong men usually. Young men want me but are sexually overstimulated and mentally insufficient. favorite passtime: internet, infamous love affairs, and rebellious crusades. Favorite tv: Futurama, Family Guy, those writers who are tied to the Simpsons rock and make me laugh. Most confusing film personalities: Ethan and Joel Coen. They just put out a movie which was a humourless Fargo, No Country for Old Men. Were they trying to depress us? Clever but a downer, They are from my home area the Twin Cities. Favorite local heroes: Jessica Lange and Bob Dylan. Both grew up in Northern Minnesota near where my mom grew up. Best strength: Telling people off Biggest weakness: Rushing to judgment
