    Ignacio Hernandez was born in Argentina in 1983. He studied music at CAEMSA in Buenos Aires. After graduating he went to Boston. He graduated from ..Berklee College of Music.. where he received a Diploma in Jazz Composition with Summa Cum Laude honors. In the Spring 2008 he received the Carla Bley Award.. after receiving, in the Spring 2007, the prestigious Herb Pomeroy Award for his outstanding achievement in jazz composition and arranging. He also recieved the Arif Mardin Endowed Scholarship. Ignacio is currently living in New York City where he is involved with some of the top players in the latin scene. He is performing with Gregorio Uribe Big Band and Magda Giannikou's Mellow Bellow Band. He has shared stages and recording sessions with some of the most outstanding upcoming stars such as Andres Rot, Marcelo Woloski, Keita Ogawa (Yo Yo Ma percussionist), Juan Andres Ospina, Alejandro Carrasco (w/Danilo Perez), Franco Pinna, Sofia Tosello, Takeshi Ohbayashi, Manami Morita, Santiago Hernandez, Magda Giannikou, Bernardo Monk, Alex Brown (Paquito D'Rivera pianist), Gregorio Uribe and many others.
