        WHEN SOMEONE YOU LOVE DIES
        Dear friend
        The most devastating thing to happen to anyone is the loss of a loved one especially a child. All kinds of emotions follow such as a deep sense of loss, anger, depression etc. The question is “Where are they now” ?

        Depending on your culture or belief they could be in heaven or hell, back to Mother Nature, in Nirvana, reincarnated to another life form, or awaiting a resurrection. etc

        Which if any, of these options is it possible to prove beyond doubt?

        The very best person to ask is none other than Jesus Christ himself. Why Jesus ?

        Because he died and came back to life

        That he died a sacrificial death, was dead for parts of three days, and resurrected is well testified by the Gospel writers and secular historians,

        The longsuffering Job once asked “ If an able bodied man dies, can he live again”? He goes on to say “ all the days of my compulsory service I shall wait until my relief comes [Job 14:14} He knew that death [compulsory service] was inevitable but that one day relief would come for him. According to Job life after death was possible

        Everyone losing a loved one should read the Gospel of John chapter 11. Here you will read the wonderful account of Lazarus.. death and resurrection.

        Lazarus was taken ill. Jesus tells his disciples: Lazarus our friend has gone to rest but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep. What would you have said to that ?. They replied “ Lord if he has gone to rest he will get well”

        Jesus then said “Lazarus has died”! What is that telling you?

        That Jesus viewed Lazarus as merely asleep though dead

        When Jesus arrives in Bethany he is met by Martha who says “ Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died. Jesus replied “Your brother WILL rise. She responded “ I know he WILL rise in the resurrection on the last day !

        WILL RISE is future tense so where was Lazarus? For four days now he had been in the tomb. His body still bound with wrappings

        When Jesus said the word Lazarus came out alive and in good health

        Here is further proof of the resurrection

        All in tombs to be raised John 5:28.29
        Resurrection of Jesus a guarantee 1 Corinthians 15:20-22 Acts 17:31
        Sinners against Spirit will not rise Matthew 12:31,32
        Those showing faith assured of it John 11:25

        Imagine welcoming back your loved ones, your boundless joy embracing them
