Have a good week and remember "If you are not going all the way, why go at all!!"
The first picture of the castle in Germany is above a little village called St. Goarhausen that  I stayed in and I remember so well sitting up there outside on a balcony drinking beer and schnapps and watching the boats sail by on the River Rhine. Good memories.

" Oh, forgot to post about your entry! Duh! The aliens have rolled out their red carpet to your front door." - well, that carpet has since grown moss - maybe faster than usual; interpret please, as I see moss as a welcome mat in itself. There in fact may be folds beneath the folds...

i too am a dog of the same year but then i've been told that all men are dogs but that's probably due to dog like sexual behavior and it's probably not a bad thing.

.. Poet from before birth. I was never a Hippie. I was a post beat era NYC poet in 1961. I took my early works to the coffee houses in the east Village and read them. I have seen Gingberg, Bob Dylan and Jack Kerouac at the same table. I was great friends with now legendary Ted Berrigan. I held my own at sixteen and nineteen, and twenty one by getting published in some nice literary magazines. One collaboration of mine can be found in Jim Carroll's "Living At The Movies," and is called "Cosmopolitan Life," written with Bruce Wolmer, Jim and myself a.k.a Charles Goldman. It is about time you knew this. The fact that this poem appeared for years without my name beneath it, but now, in the Penguin collected poems of Jims' it does, makes me wonder about the insufficiency and astuteness of Penguin's editors. I was at the original Woodstock because I was in love with Janis Joplin. I love Jazz, Folk, Blue Grass, Blues, Funk, Electro, Jungle, Breakbeat, Hip Hop, Dubstep, and of my generation I can say that I have yet to meet someone my age who says the same. I am a freakazoid. I paint, write, play blues harp, dj, been to Raves, and many dj events. I was partying all the way back in 1960 and it continues until today. I have had an interesting life with secrets yet to tell. Back in the mid 1960s Andy Warhol and Gerard Malanga put together what they called The Exploding Plastic Inevitable Underground Circus, which I think could, by today's standards represent the first Rave. We listened to several early bands but the "house band" was Nico, Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground. That was a thing to do weekly. Also we had The Fugs playing on MacDougal Street, and around the corner up on Bleeker in Cafe Au Go Go you could hear the Paul Butterfield Blues Band with Elvin Bishop who was awesome. Up the street we'd go almost nightly to see The Mothers Of Invention. This coupled with cafe's like The Night Owl with the now famous, original Keane paintings of big eyed kids, and secreted haunts like The Fat Black Pussycat II, made life interesting, incomparably intelligent, and to use that much (today) maligned word "Hip!" A true hipster isn't some dorky poser with tattoos and a cupey-doll hairdo, a hipster then was a Harlem sax man, was Sun Ra, was Charlie Mingus, was the beat Poets. So, fluck you, one and all who have turned this word into a mockery opposing its original intent. I could go on about why it is important to know and understand the history of the artistic, poetic, musical underground of yesterday, so you can find the substance to shape a new myth for yourselves accordingly. Otherwise you're dead. I live life with amazing observational abilities. I judge politicians on their emotional IQ, and suggest that this is the barometer for all future government. I am for any government trying out new models and moving away from the old combustion engine economy which has all but destroyed everything alive, or is about to. Today I sometimes DJ as Chuk LeFuk, I play everything from 80s New Wave to Dubstep. I try to have fun and keep in shape enough not to feel the agony of becoming an elder. So take it from one who has tried, sometimes failed and sometimes succeeded: Follow Your Bliss and dump the bullshit.

I have a twofold rule, call it Sadisco's Rule:

    1. It is always a matter of taste.

    2. There is no accounting for that taste.

Whenever I read a literary, movie, music, art criticism, I am forced to believe, in fact insist, that what I am observing, in all its permutations, in nothing other than a rationalization process for why "a thing" is either good or bad, accepted or rejected. Every person and every group has their own agenda, and one can but hope to fit in, to be accepted. It is all a reflection of taste. In today's world, even another Mozart may be overlooked. Keep it in mind.

  • Music

Grew up on a steady diet of BEBOP and Abstract Jazz, folk, R and B, experimental music like that of John Cage. In the limbo between the beat poets and the arrival of the hippies I smoked maryjane at the Holly Monument in Washington Square Park. Bought Peyote when it was still legal. No wonder modern Raves appeal to me. Psychedelic Rock & Roll can't even begin to touch the entrancing Techno of a Rave. Years later met The Oil Tasters in Milwaukee. Lived with them, learned from them, found myself loving their idea of experimental Rock and Roll as it became New Wave. Funk, George Clinton, breaks, new, weird, different. I'm always being asked where I got this or that, because I've been called a consummate digger. That refers to being a selector while I'm working on my DJ skills. Even though I started a few years ago, I think of it as an exciting hobby, and through which I have discovered new friends. I believe in people like John Peel, and Annie Nightingale for bringing mainstream attention to new forms of electronic dance music. Do people realize how important and intrinsic new electronic music is to the world? Some writers have heralded it as "the new folk music" because it is as accessable to everyone today as was the dulcimer in ages past. Myspace has allowed me to meet wonderful singers like Billy Ray Martin, who is totally cool and so much a renegade that the music industry doesn't know what to do with her. Her voice makes her a genius superstar punk electro soul goddess, and I'd get drunk with her any day of the week. If I ever see her I'll kiss her feet even as she kicks out my teeth. Very few people have a voice that touches the heart and soul. Hers is that rare. Check her out: http://www.myspace.com/billieraymartin..... I LOVE The Bush Tetras since the first second I heard them and still do. Also, Myspace has allowed me to meet Backdraft, the wonderful Angel Farringdon of Paradox 3000, Peaches, and so many more.
  • Movies

Any film with Viggo Mortensen. He will win an academy award, because he's an acting genius. Eastern Promises, The History Of Violence, The Road, Everything he does is so incredibly different and yet you feel that he is fully there. (And he was once married to Exene Cervenka!
  • Television

The shows change. I watch a few, then they disappear. Always the ones I like get cancelled. The sitcoms and game shows prevail. I may watch movies instead. I watch you.
  • Books

My library consists of an assortment of books on Psychic research. Modern poems. Subjects like Giant Squids. UFOs, Abduction, Crop Circles, Carlos Castaneda. Occult: Manly Palmer Hall's Secret Teachings Of All Ages. Franz Bardon's Trilogy of the Hermetic, all of Max Freedom Long on Huna. Henry Miller, Anais Nin, Wallace Stevens, the beat writers, Daisy Aldan, who was a great editor, thinker, teacher, translator from the French, self published poet and friend, whom I consider as my poet mother and personal saviour. I have to say this, it was Daisy Aldan in the early 1950s who originated the self-publishing revolution, along with her lifetime friend Anais Nin, around the time they both edited Two Cities Press. Although Daisy was nominated six times for a Pulitzer she didn't win. She did win many other prestigious awards and the love of many. One of my all time favorite poets is Patience Worth, whose work appeared as automatic writing from the planchette and direct writing of one of the greatest mediums of the 20th century, Mrs. Pearl Lenore Curran. One of so many unsung heros on the razor's edge of the exploration of the infinite. I will mention just one more, Maurice Bucke, as he was the first person in the western world to study and author a work devoted to the Realization Experience, called 'Cosmic Consciousness.' No small enterprise, and perhaps one of the most important books on the nature of Mind thusfar written. Also on this list find William James.
  • Heroes

Mary Magdelene as presented in the books of Laurence Gardner. Any people who have eaten the ORMUS powder. Those who continuously work on their innerselves, and rise out of the pidgeon-holing of their friends to become truly free of the restraints put upon them either by their upbringing or the judgments of others. My Hero is Freedom but only that Freedom tempered by love, and which has conquered deceit. Harry Boddington. Betty White - the medium. Ivan St. John and Francis Rath of the quite magical Philosopher's Stone Bookstore in San Francisco. Ivan St. John can be found dwelling among the Inner Planes Adepti along with his one-time partner Francis Rath. Ivan was one of America's most gifted psychics and was one of the great Deep Trance Mediums of our time. Francis Rath showed the Hermetic path to many of us. They are now both in the Light. Every renegade of the sub culture, likes of my old friend Jim Carroll, PP D'CaCa, DJs like Hybrid, so many, many, um Henry Miller, Daisy Aldan, Anais Nin, the Hermetic Philosophers of old, great artists, anyone who has sacrificed themselves for another. Joseph Campbell, Budd Hopkins, William Blake, Terence McKenna, Jack Kerouac, ALL the Beat Poets, Geronimo, Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, Chief Joseph, my father and mother, Max Freedom Long, Stewart Edward White, all seers who have ever lived, those who fought the skepticism of scientists and their disbelief in what we see, hear and touch spiritually. Every single Medium (or Channel) who has put themselves on line to give readings. Every single Healer whose touch has set people with illness on the road to full recovery over the arrogant protestation of beligerent people with degrees up their ass. F.W.H. Myers. Sir Oliver Lodge. Sir Henry Crookes. The Spirit Guides of all the great mediums such as the unimpeachable spirit of Katie King. There is a true Heroine. One more, Gary E. Schwartz for The Afterlife Experiments, for his indisputable research and meticulous science.
