ENGLISH Dark Templar was born in 2000, in the city of Vi�a del Mar, Chile, as a project of guitarists Andr�s Rivera and Alex Spencer. Its music could be dscribed as Metal, having Death and Black as its strongest influences, mixing it with Symphonic, Progresive and Experimental tendencies. .. 2000 - 2005 Dark Templar makes its appereance in the Chilean metal circuit, performing gigs in Valpara�so and Santiago(Capital) being even branded as “Revelation Band” by specialized media., sharing gigs with renowned bands as Necrosis, Inquisici�n, Belial, and performing as the opening act for Finnish band Children of Bodom, in 2004. During this years the band promotes its first recording: “The Awakening “ (Demo 2002) .. In 2005 Dark Templar decides to materialize all the experiences of the past years 5, in what would become the band..s greatest effort: “Ouroboros” (LP), independently released in 2006. The musical studies of some of the members, allows the band to incorporate elements from different sound universes; Electronic, ethnic instruments from Chile, and others from the European music tradition: Flute, Lyric Singing, besides guest instruments like the Piano, Clarinet, Violin, among others. .. 2008 - Dark Templar makes its return with new lineup, and the intention to expand their music internationally. The band is currently composing new tracks (with a more experimental approach) for a new album, to be released on 2009. .. “Ouroboros “is currently being distributed by Koventry Records. .. ....ESPA�OL.. .. El origen se remonta al a�o 2000, en la ciudad de Vi�a del Mar, como un proyecto de los guitarristas Andr�s Rivera y Alex Spencer. Su m�sica se enmarca dentro del Metal, con el Death y Black como influencias mas fuertes, fusion�ndolo con matices sinf�nicos ,progresivos y experimentales. .. Del 2000 al 2005 Dark Templar se presenta numerosas ocasiones en escenarios de la regi�n y de la capital, d�ndose a conocer en la escena nacional, siendo nombrada incluso como “banda revelaci�n” por el portal Discordancia.cl. Comparten escenario con importantes bandas como Necrosis, Inquisici�n, Belial, sum�ndose a esto el teloneo a la banda finlandesa Children of Bodom, en 2004. Durante estos a�os difunden su primer material, el demo “The Awakening (2002) .. En el a�o 2005 se decide materializar las experiencias e ideas musicales de estos 5 a�os, en lo que ser�a el primer LP del banda: “Ouroboros”, lanzado a finales de 2006. La formaci�n musical de algunos miembros, permite integrar, adem�s, elementos de distintos universos; recursos electr�nicos, instrumentos �tnicos y otros provienentes del mundo de la m�sica docta, como la flauta traversa, el canto l�rico, adem�s de instrumentos “invitados”, como el piano, clarinete, guitarra cl�sica, entre otros. .. En 2008 Dark Templar vuelve con nueva alineaci�n y pretensiones de llevar su trabajo al mercado extranjero. Ficha distribuci�n con el sello Koventry Records, y comienza la composici�n de nuevos temas para la edici�n de un nuevo disco el a�o 2009 ..
