    .. Brandon Douglas Shiveley, "Doug" was Born in 1969 in Kansas City Missouri, & at a real Early Age the Family moved to Blue Springs Mo. ...Growing up in a Middle Class Family, Doug at a real early Age Luved Music with a Serious Passion for all Types of different Musical styles....Growing up it was a common thing for the Radio, & Records to be Played alot in the Shiveley House...Lots of Commercial Radio Artist were in Mom, & Dads Record Collection such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Segar, Peter Frampton, Fleetwood Mac ,Bruce Springsteen etc...Listening close to all the Radio acts, Doug at an Early age paid extra notice to alot of Artist that had alot of Talent, with alot less recognition such as Deep Purple, Kizz, & paying alot of attention to an Artist that a Bands Talent was coming from such as Lindsey Buckinham in Fleetwood Mac...Born in the Late 60's somewhere between the time The Jimi Hendrix Experience was coming off the Woodstock Show, & into the Band of Gypsy's we have to wonder if this was the Stamp on Doug Shiveley's Soul?...Growing up with a few Family Members playing different Insturments, & a few Drummers, Guitarist, & a couple Bands in the Neighborhood, Doug started on the Guitar in 1984, at th age of 14...Haveing beed Diagnosed the same Year with Diabetes, a Disease that runs in the Family, Doug found his Passion for playing Guitar helped with his Dealing with Diabetes, with all the Insulin Shots, Blood Testing, Emotional Stress, the Guitar was the ultimate Escape, & to this day you will still hear him say "Music is Medicine"!...With the Guitar, Doug started off Learning everything that his Family was Listening to on the Radio as well as the Music he Luved at an early age such as Led Zeppelin,Kizz, Boston,Deep Purple,Black Sabbath, Ozzy, AC/DC, but it was Van Halen that really got Doug Shiveley kicked into the Guitar thang seriously!...Early Playin, & Influences were really all "Guitar Hero" stuff, & at the same time found a Serious Connection with the Blues!......Early Van Halen, & all Post VH, 80's Guitar Rock was the Learning Material, & always staying in Tune with the Commercial Radio World, & at the same time was listening to BB King,Albert King, & Howlin Wolf!...The Simple Fact is that just the Sound of the Electric Guitar alone was it!...Somewhere along the way, Doug discovered the sound of the Leo Fender designed Fender Strocaster, & that was it!...That Sound!!!...Jimi,Stevie,Trower,Blackmore,Yngwie,Dale, thru to a host of current Musicians such as Bramhall,Gales,Kenny Wayne Shepard, J. Mayer, Lance Lopez are a part of the American Guitar Sound that is the Flame the Doug Shiveley is a part of keeping Alive!...Although considered *Electric*, he enjoys a Passion for the Acoustic World also, & has written Acoustic Guitar pieces the range from New Age, Folk, Acoustic Blues, Classical & Spanish Flamenco, including Steel, Nylon, 6, & 12, Acoustic/Electric...Today Doug is working with a Group of Musicians/Technitions Designing Guitars, With a Vintage Build Quality, with Modern Looks, & also involved in several All Tube, Hand Wired Amp Builds that are Original Designs, with the Influence of the Late Great Leo Fenders Designs from the Late 50's, & Early 60's!...Please View the Pix, & leave you Opinions!...Current Project plans include putting together a Project that will be an Influence fron the Late 60's Band of Gypsy's, Cream, with some Modern Funk of the Chili Peppers, & some Stompin Blues Mixed in such as Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters & haveing a Huge connection with the Type of Music that Eric Gales,Wes Jeans, & Lance Lopez are doing!!!...Stay Tuned~~~....
