Sorry folks, it's been a hot minute since I posted up....just been trying to fight this head cold for a minute. Anyways.....even though it's been like 4 days that passed since the last NIGHTLIFE, I still gotta reach out to yall. We were short-staffed that night....J.Rocc was still on tour with Madlib & Karriem Riggins in Europe and Babu was in Chile for a music festival, so it was only Mr. Choc, Rakaa and myself holdiing down the night....and I must say, I think we did a pretty good job.
To everyone that came out to NIGHTLIFE this past Saturday, thank you and we hope that you had a great time. To everyone, that didn't make it....well, you missed a great one, especially being that it was the last NIGHTLIFE of 2007! For those who didn't know, we celebrated our good friend Evidence's birthday and he did it with style. He just got back from tour with Little Brother but still perform a short but sweet show for everyone that came out. With Montage One helping him on the vocals, along with Rakaa performing and myself Djing for Ev, the Weatherman was good form that night. Shout out to the Alchemist who couldn't make it that night.

From Florida to Detroit to Cali: Slopfunkdust, OhNo, Roc C, J-Thrill, & Illa J!
Just wanted to shout out and thank everyone that came out to NIGHTLIFE this past Saturday night......we had a blast!!! Not only did we had to deal with the ROCK THE BELLS situation and with the ?ustlove's "Rock The Bells Afterparty", we found out the day after that the homie Preemo aka Dj PRIMIER of GANGSTARR was in town djing @ Quality, so we had alot of odds against our favor. But yknow what? The place was actually pretty packed considering what we were up against. And at the last minute before doors open...we decided to make it a FREE EVENT.....so all of you who ended up going to NIGHTLIFE, you were treated to a FREE DILATED PEOPLES SHOW!!! (Of course, "The Release Party" DVD in stores NOW!!). What was even crazy (well, at least to us) our fellow Beat Junkie, Melo-D aka "One More Time" made a special surprise appearance to NIGHTLIFE.....he usually djs on Saturday nights in Vegas, but I guess he took the day off and suprised the homies!!!

We were also shortstaffed that Saturday night.......Babu, J.Rocc, & Rakaa were all in Europe for their respective tours with Dilated Peoples and Stones Throw.
