Hello to all who happen accross this page..... My aim is to share My music and show off the outback & other places in our great country that I love through my Photos......Please note that a large number of photos depict Lakes and creeks with water in them and a green environment, this in most cases is a rare occasion. Most lakes, Rivers & creeks on maps are dry or salty. It can get oppressivly hot in the outback and travlers should always carry plenty of water, stay on the main tracks and stay with your vehical if it should break down....... ....Music.... So far of the songs on my page, Your the Reason and Looking For Love are cover's of songs that we recorded on a $60 tape recorder in about 1984 at one of Country Rhythm's practice sessions that is why the quality is so poor. Its me sining on Your The Reason & Cecil Betts sings Looking For Love. David McCormack on Drums Cecil Betts Lead & Rhythm Guitar ( at the same time ) Me on Base, no mixing here. Lucky Man is one of mine, again recorded rough on a cheep tape recorder in my dugout in Coober Pedy with me playing Rhythm...... The other 2 songs where recorded by John Sharp, at Sharps Music, Port Augusta in about 2002 and are both my songs. John plays Lead and Rhythm and did the mixing on these to tracks & David McCormack plays drums on Baby Dont You Weep, My thanks to them both..... The song Dirt Roads & Dingo Tracks went on to a compilation CD of local artists called Tracking The Horizon produced By Umeewarra Media & Sharps Music..... Dirt Roads & Dingo Tracks also got some airplay on ABC radio..... Baby Don't You Weep is the first song I wrote & a popular request. I describe my music as Busted Ass, Back Yard, BBQ Music as this is where I preform mostly. Its all a bit of fun. ....Photos.... Most of the photos where taken by me over the year's but there are some that I have obtained and am unsure who I got them from. I have tryed to avoid using photos with people in but this has not been possable in every instance. If anyone has any issues with anything on this page, please contact me and I will sort the issue out. Please feel free to make comments and help me to correct any mistake's I have made. ....About Me.... The first band I was in was formed in Coober Pedy in about 1983, it was called Country Rhythm. The members where David Crombie, Cecil Betts, David McCormack & Myself. Our first job was a friends 21st birthday at which the two Davids and I played, this was befor Cecil joined the Band. The first paying job was at the William Creek Races in about 1983 or 1984. $200.00 and a carton of Westend Drough Beer, $50.00 and a sixpack each. That was to travel about 200 km, set up our gear, play for about 2 hour's then pack up and travel home the next day, but we loved it.
