Sami May, born Samantha May Bocker, is a senior at Arizona State University, where she is completing her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree; concentrating in both music and business, and has recently started working towards earning a Certificate in Special Events Management. Upon graduation from ASU, Sami plans to attend The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS) to obtain a more in-depth music production and music business education. By earning both her Bachelors Degree and multiple certificates from ASU & CRAS, Sami will be seeking a songwriting/concert production position with a reputable music production business in NYC or LA.

As for her performance and event production experience: In college, Sami joined the Sun Devil Marching Band (tenor sax) and the Sun Devil Basketball Band (tenor and alto sax). Her membership in one of the top marching bands in the nation gave her the opportunity to perform with big name acts such as Little Richard, and The Boston Brass, as well as at headline events such as Superbowl XLII, Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, and even an NBA game between the Phoenix Suns & LA Lakers. Sami also performed (with the Sun Devil Marching Band) for President Barack Obama at the 2009 ASU Commencement Ceremony. Additionally, Sami was an event crew member for the Super Bowl XLII Halftime Show, the event coordinator for the Sun Devil Marching Band's performance at the Suns vs. Lakers game in Nov. 2008, and has volunteered or worked many different jobs at multiple sporting events and music festivals in the Phoenix Metro area since her freshman year at ASU.

Though a professional and well-seasoned multi-instrumentalist, Sami prefers a simple pen & paper to write the lyrics of her original songs more than any of her other musical talent. Similarly to her favorite artist, Drake, Sami likes to blend different genres and performance styles (singing and rapping), offering something different than all of the commercial music that is out there these days. Sami is currently working on writing more songs, and polishing her piano and guitar skills. She is also a member of the American Society for Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), and would be more than happy to collaborate with other artists in the Phoenix Metro area, and even via the internet.
