18 years in the music industry... and where do I end up.... working in Adelaide for an Internet Service Provider. It hardly seems fair but at least my mother got to see me get a REAL JOB.
My "day job" finances my new hobby of driving my 1968 MGB like it was born to be driven - on the ragged edge around a race track. I once asked about late braking into a hairpin corner and an old driver's words stick with me to this day.
"Keep your foot to the floor until you see God - then BRAKE, and brake hard!"
Maybe driving a race car is like some people go through life - traveling in circles looking for their God. I think I almost saw Him/Her once - it was a very fast lap!
If you are touring through ADELAIDE drop me a line and put my name on the door. I would love to buy you a drink and talk music stuff (until you shut me up).
In the meantime I also work as a CAMS Steward and Communicator at club and national/international motorsport events. So you can catch me at the F1 GP, Clipsal 500, Rally of SA, or at racetracks throughout the country. Another chance for us to catch up for a drink!
